If you've ever gotten to the campground late and had to assemble a tent by flashlight; this item is for you. I found myself in that situation recently and went on a quest for a solution as soon as we got home.
I chose this headlamp because of the dimming abilities and waterproofing. Even on the lowest white light setting, this thing still lit up my whole yard at night; the brightest is BRIGHT. Even with the street lights on at home, the high setting was visible over 100 feet away. I can't even imagine how well this will work once I get back into the woods.
One aspect that I overlooked when ordering this product was the adjustable pitch of the lamp. It has several settings to aim the beam lower than straight forward. This would help to light up a path for walking. On the lowest setting, it is aimed directly in front of you; a great position to work on something with your hands without blinding yourself.
The headband is very adjustable and comfortable.
